Revolutionary Test Solutions to Address Evolving Wireless Networks
Industry Leader Addresses Interference, CPRI, and Site Verification Requirements with Comprehensive Portfolio that Optimizes Network Performance for Greater ROI

Las Vegas, NV – September 8, 2015 – Anritsu Company will display revolutionary test solutions that uniquely address the most pressing issues faced by operators and wireless network installers in its booth (#4664) during CTIA Super Mobility Week, to be held in Las Vegas, September 9-11. Incorporating software and hardware tools specifically developed to address the complexities of today’s 4G networks, Anritsu’s solutions help optimize network performance so operators meet KPIs and receive the greatest possible return on their multi-billion dollar spectrum investments, while helping tower crews work more efficiently to lower test costs and receive faster payments.

“For two decades Anritsu has continually redefined the wireless field test industry to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. Today’s networks require specialized tools to eliminate interference and address CPRI-based testing. Reporting and documentation to verify work and site performance have never been more important, as well. At CTIA Super Mobility Week 2015, Anritsu will show how we address the needs of wireless professionals responsible for optimizing wireless networks,” said Gerald Ostheimer, Anritsu Corporate Vice President/General Manager.

Interference

Identifying sluggish network performance caused by interference, locating the source and pinpointing the exact cause of interference has been dramatically simplified with Anritsu’s interference hunting portfolio. The newest addition to the family is Remote Spectrum Monitor, which is being introduced at CTIA Super Mobility Week 2015. Designed without a display or keyboard, Remote Spectrum Monitor automates the method of conducting radio surveillance, interference detection, and government spectrum policy enforcement while bringing greater flexibilities and cost efficiencies to network management.

Remote Spectrum Monitor expands Anritsu’s operational support system (OSS) and network management portfolio. Also included is the MasterClaw Monitoring multi-technology solution that helps operators protect their network investments, achieve higher operational efficiency and increase revenue.

To locate emitters causing the interference, Anritsu offers the Mobile Interference Hunting System, which satisfies the need for fast and simple interference hunting before consumers suffer dropped calls, blocked calls, and slow data throughput. Once in the area, the Anritsu Handheld InterferenceHunter – an ergonomically designed solution equipped with a GPS receiver, antenna, electronic compass, and a user-selectable preamplifier – pinpoints the trouble spot.

CPRI

The influx of optical fiber and CPRI links into the fronthaul, as well as the installation of Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) at the tower top has changed wireless network field testing. Anritsu, which introduced the first wireless handheld cable and antenna analyzer 20 years ago and has deep roots in field optical testing, provides solutions that cover the entire spectrum from C-RAN transport to RF over CPRI.

At CTIA Super Mobility Week 2015, Anritsu will debut a CPRI RF measurement capability that can significantly reduce the operational expense (OpEx) associated with base station installation and maintenance by allowing field engineers and technicians to conduct accurate RF measurements on RRHs while remaining at ground level. Additionally, Anritsu offers the Network Master™ Pro MT1000A and Network Master™ Flex MT1100A optical transport testers that can verify the performance of CPRI links.

Verification

Operators require more thorough documentation of network testing and performance. To make site inspection more efficient and to satisfy mobile operators’ demands, Anritsu developed SkyBridge Tools™ Trace Manager. A cloud-based automated trace judgment service, SkyBridge Tools helps professionals involved in cell tower, in-building antenna or DAS system testing communicate tasks, validate measurements, and deliver accurate, timely results. It effortlessly validates measurements in a fraction of the time to expedite payment and reduce the amount of rework
