Berkeley’s New Portable 4G M2M Tester A Perfect Fit For CTIA’s M2M Zone
Berkeley Varitronics Systems is showcasing its new Squid-4G M2M testing tool for installers and technicians searching for the best 4G LTE carrier and base station.

METUCHEN, NJ, September 4, 2015  -- Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. (BVS), a leading provider of advanced wireless test solutions and security products to the domestic and international wireless telecommunications industry, will be introducing their portable M2M test receiver, Squid-4G™, at this year’s CTIA Super Mobility show in Las Vegas on September 9th, 10th and 11th.

Squid-4G™  is a handheld M2M test receiver that scans for all nearby wireless carriers and cellular base stations supporting 4G and LTE in order to determine the best site and antenna placement for the growing number of M2M devices and applications around the world.

“After selling hundreds of 3G Squid-PROs, we are thrilled to be bringing a 4G LTE device to market for all of our 4G customers,” says Scott Schober, BVS President & CEO.

Squid-4G™ fits nicely alongside Berkeley’s current 3G M2M offering called Squid-PRO™. Squid-4G delivers the same ease of use, RSSI measurements and multiple carrier support as Squid-PRO except that Squid-4G focuses only on the increasing need for 4G and LTE M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communications. Squid-4G tester receives all common 4G standards and identifies all 3 major (AT&T, Verizon, & T-Mobile) U.S. carriers as well as their RSSI and RSRP in true dBm accuracy. These signal strength and quality measurements allow M2M installers to make quick but informed decisions for placement of components such as antennas as well as M2M 4G modems. This real-time signal strength analysis allows critical decisions to be made before expensive deployment begins and also allows technicians to deploy their build-outs much faster without the need for multiple cell phones, SIM cards and inaccurate consumer-level signal strength bars. Squid-4G’s simple pushbutton operation, menu navigation and super clear OLED screen make it the ideal tool for workers with any experience level.

Squid-4G sells for $1,700 directly from www.bvsystems.com

BVS will be demonstrating Squid-4G™ M2M receiver along with other wireless M2M and test & measurement products in BOOTH 5050 in the M2M Zone at CTIA Super Mobility 2015 in Las Vegas, NV from September 9-11. Visit www.bvsystems.com for more information and availability.
