Berkeley’s New Portable Transmitter In Step With CTIA’s Super Mobility Theme
Berkeley Varitronics Systems showcasing its new Dual-Band Lizard test transmitter for DAS and indoor coverage simulation.

METUCHEN, NJ, September 4, 2015  -- Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. (BVS), a leading provider of advanced wireless test solutions and security products to the domestic and international wireless telecommunications industry, will be introducing their portable test transmitter, Dual-Band Lizard, at this year’s CTIA Super Mobility show in Las Vegas on September 9th, 10th and 11th.

Dual-Band Lizard is a lightweight (only 7 lbs. fully loaded) and portable stimulus transmitter for engineers and installers looking to simulate wireless DAS and indoor microcell networks before and during build-outs.

“After selling hundreds of Tortoise and Dragon drive-study transmitters, we are thrilled to be bringing a smaller, more portable solution to market for all of our in-building and DAS customers,” says Scott Schober, BVS President & CEO.

Dual-Band Lizard fits nicely into BVS’ current test transmitter lineup comprised of Dragon™ and Tortoise™ stimulus transmitters and is the smallest and lightest transmitter by far. Dual-Band Lizard’s power and features are not compromised by its portability. It’s dual independent RF bands are both capable of 1 Watt output simultaneously in various RF configurations (available bands: 100-800 MHz, 690-2700 MHz, 2.5-6.0 GHz).  The Dual-Band Lizard is powered by either 110 or 220 VAC or also by 19 VDC using an optional integrated battery system.  All Dual-Band Lizards include (2) 30dB pads (extending range to -30 – +30dBm) and (2) Type N to SMA adapters.
