Huawei to Present at CTIA Super Mobility 2015 and Rural Wireless Summit

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CTIA -- Huawei will participate as a sponsor and present at two sessions at CTIA Super Mobility 2015 and the Rural Wireless Association's Rural Wireless Summit, taking place from Wednesday, September 9 to Friday, September 11 at the Las Vegas Sands Expo.

Huawei's executives will speak at two sessions:

  • Future Mobile Networks - 4G Innovation Marches On: CloudRAN (Sept. 9, 3:30 p.m.
    4:30 p.m. at the Venetian Ballroom): Huawei's Dr. Mohamed Madkour, Vice President of Wireless Marketing and Solutions, will discuss the current status, test results and future plans of putting RAN functionality in cloud computing.
  • Utilizing Hybrid Technology to Balance Economics and Subscriber Expectations (Sept. 10, 1:35 p.m.2:40 p.m. at the Rural Wireless Pavilion & Lounge): Huawei's Bill Gerski, Vice President of Wireline Sales, will moderate a panel discussion on how to apply hybrid approaches for overcoming population density, difficult terrain, and long distance challenges in providing services to rural areas. The discussion takes place in the Rural Wireless Summit Pavilion.  Speakers include:
    • Jeff Kohler, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer, Rise Broadband
    • Joe Franell, President and Chief Executive Officer, Eastern Oregon Telecom
    • Rick Harnish, Broadband Consultant and Industry Analyst

Throughout the show, Huawei's experts will be on hand to demonstrate an array of products including its industry-leading GOSP cabinet system, 98 percent efficient power rectifier system, wireless backhaul, distributed CCAP, optical solutions, power solutions, and its ATN multiservice access products.
